Diwali, one of the greatest festivals of India, was celebrated by SynapseIndia employees in a splendid way. The whole office was decorated with lights, handicrafts, diyas, rangoli designs and other decorative items. Every workstation was brighten up and complemented the festive mood.

The HR department intimated all employees about the Diwali celebration party a day before so that all the crucial project work processes get completed before the celebration time. All the employees sizzled in diverse & colorful ethnic dresses and got clicked in different poses.
Numerous fun-filled games, competitions and other engaging activities were organized by the management to uplift the mood of the employees and boost bonding among them. Navratri festival is dedicated to one of the nine avatars of Goddess Durga. The nine avatars are named as Shailaputri, Brahmcharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandmata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri, and Sidhidatri. The eighth day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Mahaguari. She is immensely powerful and worshiping her is instantly fruitful. The devotees of goddess Mahaguari enjoy a peaceful and satisfied life and all their sins of present, part lives get washed away and they get purified in all aspects of life.
Mahagauri is peaceful, intelligent and calm. As the name suggests, Mahagauri is extremely white. In her upper left hand, she holds a thorn-like weapon, which is made of iron and she holds a dagger in her left hand. She is pure, white as conch, jasmine and moon. As per the legend, she developed a dark complexion due to her long penance and austerities in the deep forests of the Himalayas. And, when Lord Shiva cleaned her with Ganga Jal (water of the holy Ganga river), her body once again became beautiful and she got her new name as Mahagauri, which means extremely white.

Her devotees glorify her with the name of 'Kali Maa'. Devi Kalaratri has three round eyes, and long, scattered, black hair. Durga displayed herself as complete destroyer of the dirt, demons and evils from existence. She is regarded with name Kalratri, because she represents herself as the death of Kaal. Demons see her as a dark night where they cannot escape anywhere from death. She rides on gadarbh (donkey). Goddess Kaalratri reflects the fearless and extremely powerful side of the Goddess Parvati/ Durga.

She holds a sword in one hand and lotus flower in another.
Goddess Katyayani is the 6th avatar of goddess Durga. She is known to destroy the devilish forces of nature by punishing sinners and demons. As per the legend, the trinity – Gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, created goddess Katyayani by contributing some part of their energy, so that demons can be destroyed. Since the great sage Katya (Katyayana) had first worshiped the goddess, she got the name Katyayani meaning the daughter of sage Katya.
